I sailed from Honolulu to Tarawa in what was then called the Gilbert Islands, now
Kiribati. From Tarawa to Kusaie and then Pohnpei where an opportunity
came up for me to design and build another boat. The Village Hotel
needed a fast boat to carry divers to the other side of the island. I drew up a 30' power catamaran that could carry up to fifteen divers. I continued to work at the hotel as their engineer.

Twin 115 HP outboards drove it at 28 knots with a light load.
