Hawaii 1973-1974

Myself and a crew of three sailed for Hawaii in 1973.  It was a joyous moment when you first see a faint shape on the horizon and know that your sextant navigation works.  Lahaina, Maui was the first port followed by Honolulu where I stayed and worked for a year.
